Roofing felt 30 pound facts: Shingles are designed to shed water, if you have a wind driven rain water can blow up under shingles. Thus the underlayment or felt plays an integrated part, #30 pound felt is the first choice of experienced contractors. When you receive an estimate this alone could tell you of a contractors experience. #15 lb is half the weight of #30lb (#15 typically is only used in economical situation where price is the leading factor). In Michigan #30 lb felt is specified by most Architects and General Contractors. 

bullet Scheduling your project.

One can only ask for perfect weather!   Please keep in mind that there are many ways a schedule can change. Weather delays, the job before yours finding some hidden wood problems that need to be addressed. Back orders on product. We try to keep most products in inventory. 

bulletRoofing and Siding is real construction...

Power source: We structure into our cost the brief use of your power. We will be needing a source of electrical power, i.e. garage outlet, exterior house outlet. If you are unable to provide a power source please let us know so that we can make proper arrangements.

Pictures and valuables: Hanging on the walls and on shelves should be temporarily taken down. As the vibration may disturb or knock them down.   

Children and pets: Should play inside during construction hours. 

 

Equipment: 

Everything we need we bring to the job. Being a large contractor we have the equipment to do projects fast and efficient.

bulletA 40 foot reach boom, 4 wheel drive hi lo for loading tough to get at places.
bulletAlso a 45 foot reach man lift for the real difficult projects.
